According to the Maine Attorney General’s office, ZAGG reported a data breach after discovering that FreshClick, a BigCommerce application used on their website, had been compromised. The security incident enabled unauthorized actors to inject malicious code into ZAGG’s checkout system, allowing them to collect sensitive customer data. Upon discovering the breach through notification from BigCommerce on November 8, 2024, ZAGG immediately took action by notifying law enforcement and securing their website.
The compromised information includes customers’ names, residential addresses, and payment card details. On December 26, 2024, ZAGG sent out data breach letters to affected individuals, detailing the specific information that may have been exposed in their particular case.
