December 13 – The Young Life data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Young Life data breach resulted in unauthorized access to sensitive personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, financial account information, and payment card information of as many as 51,226 current and former employees and their dependents.

According to the Maine Attorney General’s office, Young Life fell victim to a malware attack that compromised their computer network. The organization first detected suspicious activity on June 14, 2024, which prompted an immediate investigation. The investigation revealed that unauthorized actors had successfully installed malicious software on the organization’s network systems.

The data breach, while brief, occurred between June 13, 2024, and June 14, 2024. During this period, the unauthorized party gained access to confidential information stored on Young Life’s network. On December 12, 2024, Young Life began sending out data breach notification letters to affected individuals, detailing the specific types of personal information that may have been compromised in their particular case.
