According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Young Consulting data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On April 13, 2024, the company experienced IT issues prompting Young Consulting to take its systems offline and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed the company’s IT network between April 10, 2024 and April 13, 2024 and downloaded files containing consumer information. Young Consulting reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On August 26, 2024, Young Consulting sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Young Consulting LLC is a software company based out of Atlanta, Georgia that provides software solutions to the employer stop-loss marketplace. The company’s products include ESL Office, BenefitConnect, claim pointe, and xchange Center.
