Between February 28 and March 5, 2025, Whitman Hospital Medical Center (WHMC) shared updates regarding a cybersecurity incident. WHMC first detected the attack on February 28 and immediately launched an investigation. As a precaution, the hospital took its internal systems offline.
At this stage, WHMC has stated that there is “no reason to believe patient information has been compromised,” though the investigation remains ongoing. As of March 5, 2025, WHMC is open, but its systems are still down.
