According to the Maine Attorney General’s Office, Wells Fargo customers’ data was compromised in a ransomware attack targeting Infosys McCamish Systems, a service provider for Wells Fargo. The breach occurred between October 29, 2023, and November 3, 2023, when unauthorized actors gained access to Infosys McCamish’s computer systems.
On October 21, 2024, Wells Fargo was added to the growing list of companies affected by this third-party breach. Infosys McCamish has begun sending data breach notification letters to impacted Wells Fargo customers, detailing the specific information that may have been compromised during the incident.
