According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the WellLife Network data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On September 7, 2023, the company detected suspicious activity within its IT network prompting WellLife Network to launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed the company’s computer network between August 26, 2023 and September 7, 2023 and accessed files that contained consumer information. WellLife Network reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On August 29, 2024, WellLife Network sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
WellLife Network is a healthcare services provider based out of Hauppauge, New York that provides services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental illness.
