October 17 – The Verizon Communications, Inc. data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Verizon data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, phone numbers, and products purchased of certain individuals being compromised. According to the notice filed with the Attorney General of Montana, Verizon reported a data breach after they discovered unauthorized access to a server belonging to one of its retail agents on September 5, 2024. Verizon launched an investigation and confirmed that the affected server contained confidential information belonging to certain individuals. On October 10, 2024, Verizon sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
