The UConn Health data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

What Happened?

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, the UConn Health data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On June 14, 2024, the company detected suspicious activity within an employee’s email account prompting UConn Health to secure the affected account and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed the email account on June 14, 2024 and acquired emails from the employee’s email account. UConn Health reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On August 13, 2024, UConn Health sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
