June 13 – The Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga Board of Cooperative Educational Services, better known as TST BOCES (“TST”) data breach is being investigated by the data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. The data breach was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The TST BOCES data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers and financial account information used for direct deposit of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 11,088 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, TST BOCES reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. An unauthorized party was able to gain access to the organization’s computer system on April 2, 2023 and access confidential data. On June 9, 2023, TST BOCES sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
