October 14 – The Tri-City Healthcare District d/b/a Tri-City Medical Center (“Tri-City”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Tri-City data breach compromised the sensitive personal information, including names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medical information, health insurance information, and treatment costs of certain individuals. According to Tri-City’s filing with the Attorney General of Maine, Tri-City Medical Center reported a data breach after they detected suspicious activity on their network on November 9, 2023. An unauthorized party was able to access certain files containing confidential patient information on November 8, 2023. Tri-City Medical Center reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On October 11, 2024, Tri-City Medical Center began sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals whose information was affected by the recent security incident.
