March 3 – The Transak USA LLC data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the data breach that was reported after Transak was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Transak data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 23,113 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Transak reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On September 23, 2024, Transak, Inc., the parent company of Transak USA, was alerted to a potential data breach when a hacker contacted the company, claiming to have accessed and obtained confidential information from its IT network. The compromised data was reportedly stored on a server managed by an unnamed third-party provider.
Transak immediately initiated an internal investigation to verify the breach. The findings confirmed that the hacker had gained unauthorized access by using an employee’s compromised login credentials. As a result, sensitive company information was accessed and acquired during a period spanning from September 1, 2024, to September 11, 2024.
On February 28, 2025, Transak sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
