August 20 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Toyota data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. It is believed to have impacted as many as 284,000 individuals. The Toyota data breach resulted in the personal information of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened?

The Toyota data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber attack. Toyota’s investigation is ongoing and hasn’t announced what information has been affected. The hacker group responsible for the attack claims to have 240 gigabytes of data, which includes personal information that belongs to employees and customers. This breach differs from the data breach that affected Toyota’s European and African divisions in November. Toyota is still currently conducting its investigation into this matter. Toyota will be sending out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
