Tokio Marine HCC Data Breach Investigation

February 5 – The Tokio Marine HCC data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. What Happened As A Result Of The Tokio Marine HCC Data Breach?

According to the filing with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office, Tokio Marine HCC discovered unauthorized access to several of their company websites including American Contractors Indemnity Company, Texas Bonding Company, United States Surety Company, and U.S. Specialty Insurance Company. The investigation revealed that between January 17 and January 20, 2025, an unauthorized party gained access to and obtained files containing confidential consumer information from multiple websites operated by the company.

Upon discovering the security incident on January 20, 2025, Tokio Marine HCC took immediate action by taking the affected websites offline and initiating an investigation with the assistance of external cybersecurity experts. Law enforcement was also notified of the incident.

On January 31, 2025, American Contractors Indemnity Company, Texas Bonding Company, United States Surety Company, and U.S. Specialty Insurance Company began sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals whose information was compromised in the incident. These letters contain detailed information about what specific personal data was exposed in the breach.
