September 10 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the TIAA data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at Infosys McCamish Systems. It is believed to have impacted as many as 6,078,263 individuals. The TIAA data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of California, the TIAA data breach was reported after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at Infosys McCamish Systems. On November 2, 2023, Infosys McCamish determined that an unauthorized party accessed its computer network prompting the company to secure its systems and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed Infosys’ network between October 29, 2023 and November 2, 2023, including files containing confidential information belonging to TIAA clients. TIAA reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On September 6, 2024, TIAA sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
