June 12 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Gapbuster Worldwide Pty Ltd also known as Sonata GBW (“GBW”) data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at Nectar Desk. It is believed to have impacted as many as 64,811 individuals. The Sonata GBW data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

  • names,
  • email addresses
  • and phone numbers

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Sonata GBW data breach was reported after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at Nectar Desk. Nectar Desk reached out to GBW to inform the company about the incident then immediately contained the incident and launched an investigation. On June 2, 2024, Sonata GBW sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
