According to the Attorney General of California, the ProPark Mobility data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On January 18, 2024, the company learned there was a data security incident involving their IT network prompting ProPark to block unauthorized access and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed sensitive information that was stored on the company’s computer network between January 15, 2024 and January 18, 2024. ProPark Mobility reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On September 3, 2024, ProPark Mobility sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
