September 14 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Prentke Romich Company dba PRC-Saltillo data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The PRC-Saltillo data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the PRC-Saltillo data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On August 21, 2024, the company determined there was suspicious activity within its computer network prompting PRC-Saltillo to launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed its computer network between August 13, 2024 and August 21, 2024 and copied files and folders containing confidential consumer information. PRC-Saltillo reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On September 12, 2024, PRC-Saltillo sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
