November 20 – The PracticeSuite, Inc. data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The PracticeSuite data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, account numbers, radiological tests, medical information, and health insurance information of certain patients being compromised.
According to a report filed with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office, PracticeSuite discovered that hackers had gained access to portions of their computer network. The unauthorized access, which occurred on October 11, 2024, specifically targeted a backup file containing Texan ENT Specialists’ patient records up to March 19, 2024. The company discovered the breach on October 18, 2024. On November 18, 2024, PracticeSuite began sending out data breach notification letters to affected Texan ENT Specialists’ patients, detailing the scope of the compromised information and providing guidance on protective measures.
