According to the Attorney General of Texas, the Park Dental data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On January 23, 2024, the company detected suspicious activity within several employee email accounts prompting Park Dental to secure the affected accounts and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed employee email accounts and emails and attachments containing patient information between January 11, 2024 and January 23, 2024. Park Dental reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. Park Dental sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
