October 28 – The OnePoint Patient Care data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The OnePoint Patient Care data breach resulted in the exposure of sensitive personal information, including Social Security numbers, residence information, medical record numbers, and diagnosis & prescription details of as many as 795,916 individuals being compromised.

According to the Texas Attorney General’s Office, OnePoint Patient Care reported a data breach after detecting unauthorized access to their computer network. The data breach occurred between August 6, 2024, and August 8, 2024, during which unauthorized actors gained access to portions of OPPC’s systems containing confidential information. The company has also engaged external cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident and has notified law enforcement authorities. On October 21, 2024, OnePoint Patient Care posted a notice on their website and will begin the process of sending out data breach letters to the 795,916 individuals.
