January 10 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the OneBlood data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The OneBlood data breach resulted in unauthorized party gaining access to consumers’ names and Social Security numbers.

What Happened As A Result Of The OneBlood Data Breach?

According to the Attorney General of Vermont, OneBlood reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On July 28, 2024, OneBlood detected suspicious activity within its network. In response, the organization secured its system, notified law enforcement, and initiated an investigation with the help of external cybersecurity experts.

The investigation revealed that an unauthorized party accessed the network and copied files containing confidential consumer information. OneBlood reviewed the compromised files to identify what data was leaked and which consumers were affected, completing this process on December 12, 2024.

On January 9, 2025, OneBlood sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
