Monro Data Breach Investigation

March 25 – The Monro data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Monro data breach resulted in the exposure of names, Social Security numbers, addresses, dates of birth, ID numbers, and health information of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened As A Result Of The Monro Data Breach?

According to the California Attorney General’s office, Monro reported a data breach after they detected suspicious activity within an employee’s email account in late 2024. Upon investigation, it was discovered that an unauthorized party had gained access to the employee’s email account in late November 2024, including emails and attachments containing confidential information belonging to certain individuals.

Following this discovery, Monro conducted a thorough review of the compromised files to identify what information was exposed and which consumers were affected. The investigation confirmed that sensitive personal data had been accessed, potentially including names, Social Security numbers, addresses, dates of birth, ID numbers, and health information.

On March 21, 2025, Monro sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach. These notifications should provide recipients with specific details about which of their personal data was compromised during the incident.
