According to the Attorney General of California, the M&D Capital Premier Billing data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On July 8, 2023, the company identified suspicious activity within its computer network prompting them to secure their network and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had gained access to its IT network, including files containing confidential personal and medical information belonging to consumers beginning on June 10, 2023. In January 2024, M&D Billing began notifying the entities through which it obtained consumers’ information. On March 18, 2024, M&D Capital Premier Billing sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
M&D Capital Premier Billing LLC is a medical billing company based out of Richmond Hill, New York that works with sole 
providers as well as healthcare facilities to increase revenue by decreasing accounts payable. The company also provides consulting on billing practices, coding, and credentialing.
