July 20 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Loumar data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Loumar data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

  • names,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • financial account information,
  • driver’s license numbers,

  • and dates of birth

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the Loumar data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On December 15, 2023, the company detected suspicious activity within its computer network prompting Loumar to contain the incident and launch an investigation. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed Loumar’s computer network between December 4, 2023 and December 14, 2023. On July 17, 2024, Loumar sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
