On December 15, 2023, the company detected suspicious activity within its computer network prompting Loumar to contain the incident and launch an investigation. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed Loumar’s computer network between December 4, 2023 and December 14, 2023. On July 17, 2024, Loumar sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
