According to a notice posted on their website, the Knight Barry Title data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On August 15, 2023, the company learned that certain files on its computer network had been encrypted with malware. This prompted Knight Barry to secure its systems and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had access to its system between July 25, 2023 and August 15, 2023. It was also determined that the unauthorized party may have accessed and acquired confidential consumer information located on its network. On February 1, 2024, Knight Barry Title sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
