According to the Attorney General of California, the Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On June 17, 2023, the company detected suspicious activity within its computer network. Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics secured its system and launched an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had been able to access Kids Care’s IT network on June 15, 2023, including files containing confidential patient information. On March 7, 2024, Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Kids Care Dental is a dental care provider based out of Lodi, California has pediatric dental offices with 22 locations in California, 
including in Sacramento, Brentwood, Elk Grove, Fairfield, Livermore, Lodi, Milpitas, and Modesto.
