According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the InHealth Technologies data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On November 11, 2023, the company learned that hackers were able to access the computer network in an attempt to disable and encrypt the company’s IT system. The hackers were able to encrypt portions of the InHealth network prompting the company to launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had gained access to certain files containing confidential consumer information. On January 9, 2024, InHealth Technologies sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
InHealth Technologies is a medical equipment manufacturing company based out of Carpinteria, California that specializes in 
designing and manufacturing medical products used in the ENT (“ear, nose and throat”) setting. InHealth Technologies is a subsidiary of Freudenberg Medical, a large California-based manufacturing company.
