January 8 – The Green Bay Packers data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after malicious code was discovered on the organization’s Pro Shop website. The Green Bay Packers data breach resulted in unauthorized access to customers’ credit card data, names, addresses, and email addresses during specific periods in September and October 2024.

What Happened As A Result Of The Green Bay Packers Data Breach?

According to the filing with the Attorney General of Massachusetts, Green Bay Packers discovered malicious code embedded in their Pro Shop website on October 23, 2024. The code was active between September 23-24, 2024, and again from October 3-23, 2024. Upon discovery, the organization immediately disabled payment processing and worked with cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident. The investigation revealed that the malicious code could have captured customer information entered during checkout, specifically affecting credit card transactions. Notably, purchases made using gift cards, Pro Shop website accounts, PayPal, or Amazon Pay were not compromised.

On January 6, 2024, Green Bay Packers sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach. The compromised information includes customer names, addresses, email addresses, credit card types, numbers, expiration dates, and verification numbers.
