On October 14, 2023, the company learned that its vendor, Veeya, detected unusual activity within its IT network. Veeya secured its systems and launched an investigation that confirmed that confidential information provided to Veeya by Great Hearts was subject to unauthorized access. On March 29, 2024, Great Hearts America sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
