According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the Goodwin Living data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company determined that an unauthorized party accessed an employee email account between October 2, 2023 and October 18, 2023. This prompted Goodwin Living to secure its system and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an employee’s email account was accessed by an unauthorized party between October 2, 2023 and October 18, 2023 that contained confidential consumer information. Goodwin Living reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On September 12, 2024, Goodwin Living sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
