According to the Attorney General of California, the Gemini data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Gemini’s banking partner notified the company that customer information may have been exposed due to an unauthorized party gaining access to an internal collaboration tool on the bank partner’s system. An investigation confirmed that consumer information was accessible between June 3, 2024 and June 7, 2024. On July 24, 2024, Gemini sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
