October 26 – The Fairfield Memorial Hospital Association (“FMHA”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. According to the Montana Attorney General’s Office, Fairfield Memorial Hospital Association reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The incident was first detected on June 20, 2024, when suspicious activity was identified within their computer network. The hospital immediately engaged third-party security experts to investigate the breach. FMHA confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed its network, including files containing confidential information belonging to certain individuals. On October 21, 2024, Fairfield Memorial Hospital Association sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach, following their September 25, 2024 completion of the compromised file review.
