According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the Employer Flexible data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On May 23, 2024, the company detected unusual activity within its myHR web-based application prompting Employer Flexible to secure its system and launch an investigation. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed confidential data stored on the myHR platform. On July 17, 2024, Employer Flexible sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
