According to the Maine Attorney General’s office, Dove Healthcare reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack.
The incident initially occurred on July 6, 2024, when unauthorized parties gained access to Dove Healthcare’s network systems. Following the discovery of this breach, the company promptly notified federal law enforcement and enlisted cybersecurity experts to conduct a thorough investigation.
It wasn’t until March 6, 2025, that Dove Healthcare determined certain files containing confidential patient information had been accessed without authorization. The compromised data potentially includes names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, medical information, health insurance details, and full-face images of patients.
On March 18, 2025, Dove Healthcare sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Dove Healthcare is a Wisconsin-based healthcare provider specializing in skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, assisted living facilities, and memory care programs. With multiple locations throughout Wisconsin, the organization delivers various levels of care for seniors and individuals recovering from illness or injury.
