The Dental Specialists discovered that an unauthorized party may have accessed some employee email accounts. Then, Dental Specialists began an investigation utilizing third-party cybersecurity experts. They discovered that the unauthorized access happened between January 11, 2024, and January 23, 2024. Dental Specialists completed reviewing compromised files on June 10, 2024, after learning that sensitive consumer data was involved. On August 9, 2024, Dental Specialists sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
