November 26 – The Delaware Life Insurance Company (“Delaware Life”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Delaware Life Insurance Company data breach resulted in the names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Montana, Delaware Life Insurance Company reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On February 9, 2023, Delaware Life was alerted to a ransomware attack that impacted the company’s computer network. The company notified law enforcement, isolated and secured the affected systems, and launched an investigation. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized actor accessed and acquired certain files from its systems, including files containing confidential consumer information. On November 21, 2023, Delaware Life Insurance Company sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
