On October 20, 2023, the company learned about a data security incident at Barracuda Networks involving the company’s email applications. Barracuda Networks experienced a vulnerability that allowed an unauthorized party to gain access to emails and attachments belonging to CUSO Financial Services employees. This prompted the company to launch an investigation that confirmed that certain information from July 5, 2023 was accessible to an unauthorized party. On February 16, 2024, CUSO Financial Services sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
