What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Copiah-Lincoln Community College data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 11, 2024, the college detected suspicious activity within its IT network prompting Copiah-Lincoln to secure its system and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that the unauthorized party accessed its systems between March 8, 2024 and March 11, 2024. Copiah-Lincoln Community College reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On August 13, 2024, Copiah-Lincoln Community College sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
