June 25 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the Class Advisors data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Class Advisors data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:

  • dates of birth,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • and financial account information

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of California, the Class Advisors data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company was recently notified by one of its vendors about the filing of fraudulent tax returns. An investigation confirmed that an unauthorized individual gained access to certain Class Advisors files between February 12, 2024 and March 6, 2024. On June 20, 2024, Class Advisors sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
