October 17 – The Cisco data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The potential Cisco data breach may have resulted in the compromise of certain individuals’ sensitive information.

What Happened As A Result Of The Cisco Data Breach?

According to BleepingComputer, Cisco reported that it is investigating claims by a well-known threat actor who asserts that he and two others breached Cisco’s IT network on October 6, 2024. The hackers allege that this attack gave them access to a significant amount of Cisco data, including source code, confidential documents, credentials, certificates, and more.

While not yet confirmed, the breach may have affected some of Cisco’s largest clients, such as Microsoft, Barclays, SAP, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. If true, this could potentially mean that information belonging to customers of these companies was also exposed.

Cisco has stated that they are aware of the reports and have launched an investigation to assess the claims, which is currently ongoing. If Cisco confirms that information in its possession was subject to unauthorized access, they will be required to send data breach notification letters to all affected parties.
