October 16 – The Casio data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The cyber incident exposed sensitive personal information belonging to Casio employees, contractors, partners, job applicants, and some customers. The exact number of individuals affected has not yet been disclosed.

Based on a notice posted on Casio’s website, the company suffered a ransomware attack on October 5, 2024 which resulted in unauthorized access to its computer network. Upon further investigation, Casio determined that files containing personal data were accessible to the attackers. Casio will need to notify potentially impacted individuals once the company concludes its investigation. These data breach notification letters will specify what personal information was exposed for each recipient.
