According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Carespring Healthcare Management data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Carespring experienced an IT issue that affected its computer network on October 28, 2023. On July 16, 2024, Carespring learned that an unauthorized party accessed files on its network that had confidential consumer information. The dates of unauthorized access are said to have occurred between October 12, 2023 and October 30, 2023. On August 15, 2024, Carespring Healthcare Management sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Carespring provides services to older adults and is based out of Loveland, Ohio. 
They provide a variety of services, including independent living, assisted living, nursing homes, skilled nursing, memory care, and rehabilitation care.
