February 1 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the BSA Hospital data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at Ardent Health Services. The BSA Hospital data breach resulted in the patients’ personal information being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the BSA Hospital data breach was reported after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at Ardent Health Services. On November 23, 2023, Ardent learned that it was recently the victim of a ransomware attack prompting them to take steps to secure their network and launched an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access and copy documents containing confidential patient information. On January 22, 2024, Ardent Health Services sent out data breach letters on behalf of BSA Hospital to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
BSA Hospital is a healthcare services provider based out of Amarillo, Texas that is a part of the BSA Health System, which is 
affiliated with Ardent Health Services. BSA Health System operates approximately 20 hospitals, clinics, urgent care facilities, and other healthcare facilities in Amarillo and throughout the Texas panhandle.
