October 25 – The Brighthouse Life Insurance Company data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The initial breach occurred between June 28, 2023, and July 3, 2023, when DXC Technology Company, an administrator for Brighthouse, improperly disclosed information to Education Benefit Consultants, LLC (d/b/a Aviben). Subsequently, Aviben experienced its own security breach on February 22, 2024, leading to unauthorized access of Brighthouse clients’ confidential information. On October 22, 2024, Brighthouse Life Insurance Company sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach, detailing the specific personal information that was compromised in this incident.
