January 29 – The Berman & Rabin data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. According to the Maine Attorney General’s office, Berman & Rabin reported a data breach after they were targeted in a cybersecurity incident. The firm detected suspicious activity within their computer network on July 8, 2024, including the encryption of certain files.
After securing their network and notifying law enforcement, the investigation revealed that an unauthorized party had accessed parts of the firm’s computer network between July 5, 2024 and July 8, 2024. On October 8, 2024, the firm confirmed that the compromised data contained personal information.
On January 23, 2025, Berman & Rabin sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
