According to a notice posted on their website and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, the Azura Vascular Care data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On November 9, 2023, the company determined that it had been the victim of a cyberattack prompting them to take steps to contain the incident and launch an investigation.
It was confirmed that on or around September 27, 2023, the hackers accessed and encrypted Azura’s network. It was later determined that the hackers were also able to access certain files containing confidential patient information. On January 13, 2024, Azura Vascular Care sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Azura Vascular Care is a healthcare services provider headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania that operates a network of 70 
clinics in 25 states, providing a range of vascular care services that offer minimally invasive treatment options for various vascular conditions. Azura Vascular Care is an affiliate of Fresenius Medical Care North America, a large provider of dialysis services and products.
