What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of California, the Association of Texas Professional Educators data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On February 12, 2024, the company identified unusual activity within its computer network prompting ATPE to secure its network and launch an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party had been able to access ATPE’s network on March 20, 2024. On June 14, 2024, Association of Texas Professional Educators sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
