September 8 – The Aramark data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the data breach that was reported after Aramark was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Aramark data breach resulted in the Social Security numbers and direct deposit details of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Massachusetts Attorney General, Aramark reported a data breach after discovering that an unauthorized party created a fraudulent website on January 21, 2024, which resembled Aramark’s official site.
This allowed the unauthorized party to access employees’ myPay site and other sensitive information. Aramark confirmed that names, addresses, direct deposit details, and Social Security numbers were compromised.
On September 10, 2024, Aramark sent data breach notification letters to impacted employees. These letters detail the compromised information and may offer credit monitoring services.
