February 21 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the American Vision Partners data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. It is believed to have impacted as many as 2.3 million individuals. The Medical Management Resource Group, L.L.C. d/b/a/ American Vision Partners data breach resulted in the below information of certain individuals being compromised:
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, the American Vision Partners data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On November 14, 2023, American Vision Partners detected unauthorized activity within its computer network prompting them to secure their network by isolating affected systems and launching an investigation. It was confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access parts of American Vision Partner’s IT network on November 13, 2023, including files containing confidential patient information. On February 6, 2024, Medical Management Resource Group sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
